Qualifications

• PrDP and a clean driving record are required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience driving commercial vehicles on regional routes.
• Familiarity with the geography and road networks of the Eastern Cape.
• Ability to lift and carry moderate-weight packages.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual and responsible.

Responsibilities

This role involves the transportation of goods to various customer locations within the Eastern Cape province. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining the condition of the delivery vehicle, and providing professional customer service at each stop. This position requires a thorough understanding of regional routes, a commitment to safe driving, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate delivery vehicles (e.g., trucks, vans) safely and efficiently on designated regional routes.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of all cargo.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including proof of delivery, and manage any required documentation.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding safe driving and vehicle operation in the Eastern Cape .
• Perform daily checks on the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues professionally.

Requirements

• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) and a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience driving commercial vehicles on regional routes.
