Job summary

Mayer in Macon, GA is seeking a Truck Driver to join the team. The role focuses on delivering products to customers and company locations in a delivery van or box truck without a CDL requirement, ensuring accurate and damage-free materials.

The position emphasizes safe driving, adherence to DOT rules, and reliable, timely service. You will load/unload, complete deliveries, and support branch operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of the Motor Vehicle Record.
• Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate within 60 days of hire.
• Must not have had a suspended driver's license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years
• Must not have any at fault accidents in the past 3 years

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicle and complete daily inspection report.
• Keep vehicle clean, serviced, and maintained; report needed repairs.
• Follow DOT, local and state driving laws and regulations.
• Load or unload vehicle and verify material accuracy.
• May assist in preparing orders for delivery.
• Complete delivery documentation with customer signature and packing list.
• Pickup material returns and inspect condition.
• Pickup material from suppliers.
• Senior Truck Driver will participate in training of entry-level drivers.
• May perform other duties at the branch as needed.
