Qualifications

  • Must maintain a valid Class B CDL and DOT Medical Card.
  • Ability to read maps and communicate effectively.

Delivery Truck Drivers are responsible for the delivery and/or removal of waste or recycling containers to customers. Delivery Drivers must be able to safely operate the vehicle, as well as provide courteous service to customers.

Responsibilities of Position:

  • Operates truck and performs job duties in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
  • Performs deliveries to outlying locations and/or vendors.
  • Completes proper documentation for internal and external customers.
  • Conducts pre-trip/post trip inspections and completes logs.
  • Maintains and updates drivers log sheets (when required).
  • Professional interaction with co-workers, internal and external customers.
  • May assist in other projects or areas as needed.
  • Maintains a positive work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:

  • Maintain a PIT (Power Industrial Truck) certification depending on location needs.
  • Ability to read and understand a map.
  • General knowledge of mechanics vehicles.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.

Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:

  • Must have at least a valid Class B CDL.
  • Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or able to obtain prior to hire.
  • Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
  • Must not have any DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.
  • Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas.
  • Ability to travel between offices, as required.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Valid driver’s license (if applicable).
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language.
