Job summary

Ferguson in Richmond, VA is seeking a CDL A truck driver for a Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM route with potential overtime and home daily. The role focuses on delivering materials, loading with pallet jack and dolly, and providing reliable customer service on every stop.

Candidates should have 2–5 years of commercial truck driving, hold a valid CDL A, be at least 21, and pass DOT requirements. Starting wage is $28/hour with ranges posted from $19.26 to $30.76, plus benefits and opportunities

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of commercial truck driving experience preferred.
• Must hold a valid CDL A.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Meet and maintain qualifications for CDL requirements.
• Follow all DOT standards and regulations.
• Must maintain valid DOT Medical card.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to customers using pallet jack and dolly.
• Pick up customer returns and verify product for credit requests.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; fuel the truck; report issues.
• Follow safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Assist warehouse with orders and receiving stock as needed.
• Work overtime as needed.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and some overtime as needed

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of commercial truck driving experience preferred
• Must hold a valid CDL A
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Meet and maintain qualifications for CDL requirements
• Follow all DOT standards and regulations
• Must currently have, acquire, and/or maintain a valid DOT Medical card in order to meet driver requirements.
• Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50lbs
• A background in warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving and delivery is a plus
• Strong communicator with a customer-focused approach
• Able to navigate and operate basic technology, including iPads

Responsibilities:

• Deliver materials to the customer, which includes utilizing pallet jack and two-wheel dolly to load and unload and ensuring delivery of ticket with material
• Pick up customer returns, validating product match for credit requests
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report any problems or issues to supervisor
• Follow and implement all company safety policies and procedures
• Assist warehouse personnel with pulling and preparing orders for shipment as needed, as well as receiving, verifying, staging and stocking incoming material
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.

Pay Range

$19.26 - $30.76

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
