Position Title: Delivery Driver and Technician

Reports to: General Manager

Status: Hourly - Overtime and Bonus Eligible

Helps maintain the appearance of showroom; takes primary role in delivery and pickup of merchandise; may perform additional functions or duties as assigned by the general manager; demonstrates effective communication and reasoning skills and shows growth potential.

Principal Responsibilities

1. Acquire and maintain customers
2. Demonstrate product features and explain benefits
3. Basic furniture, appliance, and home electronics installation/removal
4. Comply with all company vehicle safety standards and documentation
5. Handle inside/outside service calls
6. Protect company assets including inventory, equipment, and vehicles
7. Perform other duties as deemed necessary by store management

Requirements for Delivery Technician

1. Intermediate math skills
2. Maintain professional appearance
3. Ability to drive during day and night, meeting all safety requirements
4. Ability to explain rental/lease terms to customers
5. Fill out receipt books and make journal entries
6. Effective reading, writing, and communication skills in person and over the phone
7. Ability to work overtime
8. Proficiency in product features and benefits, and ability to work on showroom floor
9. Proficient navigational skills with a good driving record and insurability
10. Regular and consistent attendance, including nights and weekends as needed

General Physical Requirements

1. Ability to lift, load, move, and use a dolly for merchandise weighing 50-300 pounds
2. Stooping, bending, pulling, climbing, reaching, and grabbing as required
3. Traverse multiple flights of stairs while carrying furniture, appliances, and electronics
4. Prolonged driving and standing
5. Work in various climates and weather conditions, indoors and outdoors
