Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Specialist to operate store vehicles, deliver parts to professional customers, and collect COD payments. The role includes using fleet devices, recording mileage, and performing vehicle inspections.

Qualifications

• Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet driving eligibility requirements.
• Driving record must meet company standards.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills required.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing delivery situations.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management devices to process deliveries and capture customer signatures, update mileage, and perform daily vehicle inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and conduct daily inspections before operation.
• Secure vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet cards, devices, and monies collected at all times.
• Pickup customer returns and complete driver return slips.
• Communicate problems or special customer needs to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to store management immediately.
• Ensure fuel tanks are filled and vehicles are locked at end of day.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Assist customers as cashier or in merchandising as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
