Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Kirkland, WA is seeking a Delivery Specialist to maintain and operate store vehicles, deliver parts to professional customers, and collect COD payments.

You will use fleet devices, perform daily vehicle inspections, keep vehicles secure, and assist with returns and customer service as needed. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required, with flexibility for schedules.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company’s 14/18-point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver’s license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and perform daily inspections before operating.
• Keep delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet cards, devices, and monies secure at all times.
• Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slips.
• Communicate problems or special needs from customers to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and vehicle secured at end of day.
• Clock in/out per company policy; assist with customer service, stocking, merchandising as needed.
• May assist customers, serve as cashier, or help with merchandising when business dictates.
