Apex Water and Process in San Jose, CA is seeking a Delivery Specialist who will safely and efficiently deliver products to customer sites, assist with equipment setup, and manage day-to-day warehouse operations. The role blends local/ regional delivery with hands-on warehouse duties, including inventory, shipping/receiving and maintaining a clean, safe facility.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma, a valid Class B CDL with Hazmat, and proven warehouse experience.

Job Summary

The Delivery Specialist plays an important, hands-on role in ensuring Apex products are safely and efficiently delivered to our customers while also helping keep our local warehouse operations running smoothly. This position combines local and regional delivery responsibilities with customer-facing field work, including transferring water treatment chemicals, cleaning tanks, and assisting with equipment setup and service at customer sites. When not on the road, the Delivery Specialist will take ownership of day-to-day warehouse activities, including inventory management, shipping and receiving, order preparation, and maintaining a safe and organized facility. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, working independently, interacting with customers, and taking ownership of both delivery and warehouse operations.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Safely deliver product to customer docks and on-site tanks, using an electronic transfer pump to transfer chemicals used in industrial water treatment
• Participate in the cleaning of tanks at customer sites, as needed
• Assist with the set-up of water treatment equipment at new customer sites
• Occasionally assist with installation/service/maintenance at customer accounts
• Prepare proper shipping documentation for shipments and keep detailed and accurate records for Bills of Ladings
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations
• Effectively communicate with customers and team members
• Keep vehicle and delivery equipment such (pumps, hoses, PPE) in good operating condition and keep up with recommended maintenance as needed
• Perform drum and tote cleaning, inspection and recycling
• Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including inventory management and adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
• Perform shipping and receiving activities, including receiving incoming materials and preparing orders for pickup by LTL freight carriers
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized warehouse to support efficient operations
• Complete overnight delivery routes as needed, with approximately 1–3 overnight stays per month
• Adhere to and support all safety policies and guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Possession of a current and valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement
• Clean driving record
• Previous warehouse, inventory management, shipping/receiving, or related experience
• Ability to independently organize and manage day-to-day warehouse activities, including inventory, receiving, order preparation, and maintaining accurate records
• Ability to perform job duties within a wide range of environments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to safely and properly use an electric pallet jack to move skids or totes of chemicals
• Ability to frequently lift 5 to 50-lbs. up to 5 ft. off the ground
• Ability to move 15, 30 and 55-gallon drums using a hand truck
• Ability and willingness to wear required PPE as required by role duties
• Ability to pass a respirator fit test and wear a half or full-face respirator
• Ability to work well independently, as well as be a collaborative team member
• Ability and willingness to work overtime to meet delivery and warehouse demands

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated pay range for this position is between $26 - $35/hr, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off.
