Job description

The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This position will also collect money on C.O.D. deliveries and pick up customer returns.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently.
2. Use delivery fleet management devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete inspections.
3. Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and ensure daily inspections are completed before use.
4. Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet cards, devices, and collected monies at all times.
5. Pick up customer returns and complete driver return slips.
6. Communicate customer issues or needs to store management.
7. Report vehicle maintenance, accidents, or damages immediately.
8. Ensure fuel tanks are filled and vehicles are locked and secured at day's end.
9. Follow clock-in/out policies.
10. Perform additional duties such as customer service, stocking, merchandising, errands, and handling core returns as assigned.
11. Assist customers, serve as cashier, or support merchandising when needed.

Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities

Required:

• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Driving record must meet the company's standards (14/18-point system).
• Legally required driver’s license and eligibility to drive per company policies.
• Familiarity with automotive parts.
• Ability to operate light store equipment.
• Fluency in multiple languages; Spanish is highly desired.
