Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Delivery Specialist to operate store vehicles, deliver parts and products to professional customers, and process COD payments. You will collect monies, handle customer returns, and perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.

Responsibilities include customer service, stocking, merchandising, and occasionally assisting customers or serving as a cashier. Fluency in multiple languages is encouraged, and a valid driver's license is required.

Overview

The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This position will also collect money on C.O.D. deliveries and pick up customer returns. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner. Use delivery fleet management hand‑held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections. Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and perform daily inspections prior to operating. Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand‑held devices, and collected monies at all times. Pick up customer returns—new, warranty, cores—and complete driver return slips. Communicate issues or special customer needs to store management. Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage immediately. Ensure fuel tank is filled, lock, and secure the vehicle at the end of the day. Clock in/out according to company policy. Other duties include customer service, sweeping, stocking, merchandising, errands, handling core returns, checking in and placing stock orders, and occasionally assisting customers, serving as a cashier, or helping with merchandising tasks when business dictates.

• Required: Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences; strong interpersonal communication skills; ability to adapt quickly to changing delivery situations; driving record must meet the company’s 14/18‑point system; possession of a legally required state driver’s license and meeting company driving eligibility requirements.
• Desired: Familiarity with automotive parts; ability to operate other light store equipment; fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
