The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This position will also collect money on C.O.D. deliveries and pick up customer returns.

Essential Job Functions

1. Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
2. Use delivery fleet management devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
3. Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and complete daily inspections prior to operating.
4. Secure vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and collected monies at all times.
5. Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slips.
6. Communicate customer issues or needs to store management.
7. Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage immediately.
8. Ensure the fuel tank is filled and the vehicle is locked and secured at the end of the day.
9. Clock in/out according to company policy.
10. Perform additional duties such as customer service, stocking, merchandising, errands, and handling core returns as needed.
11. Assist customers and serve as cashier or in merchandising when required.

Skills, Education, and Experience

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet company standards (14/18-point system).
• Possess a valid state driver’s license and meet driving eligibility requirements.

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with automotive parts.
• Ability to operate light store equipment.
• Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
