Job summary

The Unit Secretary at UCI Health – Fountain Valley will keep the department running with administrative support and act as the communication hub in the nursing station. You will assist patients on arrival, answer and route phone calls, and help coordinate care with other departments.

You will maintain, file and organize patient records and oversee office/medical supplies for the department, while adhering to UCI Health-Fountain Valley policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
