Job summary

Chadwell Supply seeks a Branch Delivery Logistics Manager to oversee product transportation between distribution facilities, customers, and vendors. The role requires leadership of delivery drivers and adherence to delivery procedures across varying shifts, including nights and weekends.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in warehouse/delivery, supervision experience, a high school diploma or GED, and strong computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee deliveries, vendor pick-ups, and driver duties as assigned by management.
• Lead and coordinate delivery drivers for timely, safe operations.
• Maintain daily records of miles, stops, and unusual occurrences, and ensure reports are accurate.
• Review fuel receipts, invoices, and delivery documentation to ensure compliance.
• Protect funds and delivery documentation from loss or damage.
• Train drivers in loading/unloading per procedures and assist with product placement.
• Monitor overtime, vacation coverage, and ensure delivery schedules meet customer needs.

Overview

The Branch Delivery Logistics Manager oversees the transporting of products, goods, and materials from and between a distribution facility, customers, and vendors. Daily work schedule may vary according to business transactions and customer needs, including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Required to be proficient with all Chadwell Supply delivery routes associated with the distribution branch to which they are assigned. The Branch Delivery Logistics Manager may be required to fill in and substitute for a Delivery Driver on an as-needed basis. Responsible for leading, planning, coordinating, and managing all details and duties of the Delivery Drivers associated with the distribution branch assigned.

• Be a minimum of 21 years of age.
• Have previous employee supervision experience and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a warehouse/delivery working environment.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above-average computer literacy and experience are required for this position.
• Have the ability to learn and adapt to changes in work processes and be able to train all employees on changes as they occur.

How you will make an Impact

• Able to safely work and lead others to safely work in any traffic or weather condition according to the customer’s business needs.
• Supervise and coordinate to perform and complete all deliveries, vendor pick-ups, and other delivery driver duties as assigned by Management.
• Monitor, receive, maintain, and submit as directed all daily customer delivery receipts, relay specific customer issues or requests to management via delivery documents, and ensure that all delivery drivers under his or her supervision comply with required delivery procedures and documentation
• Maintain and record accurate daily records of miles driven, number of delivery stops, and all unusual occurrences, and ensure that all delivery drivers under his or her supervision comply with mileage and delivery-related reports.
• Receive and review all fuel receipts, invoices, and reports, ensuring that all delivery drivers under his or her supervision comply with required fuel-related documentation.
• Ensure that all delivery drivers under his or her supervision protect funds and delivery documentation from damage, loss, or destruction.
• Train and ensure that all delivery drivers, under his or her supervision, in loading and unloading of goods in accordance with operating procedures and assist customers with product placement according to policy
• Review and correct delivery driver employee time reports, monitor and control delivery driver overtime. Schedule, review, and coordinate delivery driver vacation requests and time off to ensure customer delivery coverage.
