Job summary

Builders FirstSource, America’s largest supplier of building materials, is seeking a Delivery Driver helper to assist the driver in delivering customer orders and loading/unloading materials. The role may involve driving a company van or pickup under 10,000 GVW and does not require a Commercial Motor Vehicle license.

You will assist with loading, securing products, and delivering orders to customer sites, while following safety procedures and maintaining vehicle readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and one year experience performing these or similar tasks, or equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists with loading and securing product onto the delivery vehicle.
• Delivers customer orders to site using a company van or pickup truck.
• Assists Driver in delivering and off-loading product; carries items to designated area if needed.
• Drives pilot vehicle for oversize loads and ensures safety regulations are followed.
• Inspects and maintains delivery vehicles for safety and compliance.
• Plans daily work to meet productivity goals.
