Job summary

Montgomery’s Furniture in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Delivery Assistant to support loading, delivering, and setting up furniture at customers' homes. You will operate delivery software on tablets and drive safely and courteously.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Read, write and have basic math skills.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Knowledge of computer warehousing applications preferred.
• Experience or ability to operate a forklift and other warehouse machinery preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge, ability to utilize Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Load deliveries and deliver to customers utilizing delivery tablets.
• Drive box trucks in a courteous and safe manner to ensure furniture arrives in perfect shape, unload and set up in homes.
• Carefully place furniture in requested rooms and spaces.
• Follow the Delivery Lead and use delivery software.
• Communicate with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Keep truck cab interior and box interior clean and organized before and after routes.
• Assist in locating merchandise in store for floor displays and keep warehouse tidy.
• Follow all SOPs and participate in special events as required.
