Job description

Position Summary

The primary functions of the Delivery Helper are to load, locate job sites, back the truck, prepare and restore the job site, prepare the truck for the following day, and maintain the truck and equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Compliance of company, state and federal guidelines particularly as it relates to OSHA and DOT for the safety of all personnel. Perform pre-trip inspections of equipment, paperwork and loaded product to ensure accuracy of order. Safely unload product and deliver to assigned area as directed by the customer. Secure mud, equipment, metal, and pallets on the truck. Navigate routes to the job site.

Basic Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and communicate information accurately. Stamina to lift at least 75 lbs. in order to carry materials such as drywall materials and joint compound. • Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team; ability to lead, execute and/or delegate as needed, while also collaborating with others to get the job done. Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain standing 90% of the time.
• Move from unloading materials from commercial motor vehicles onto the job site.
• Position oneself to unload and load materials from flatbed or boom.
• Frequently move materials weighing up to 100 lbs. while unloading and loading the flatbed.
• Communicate effectively with management and coworkers and exchange accurate information in these situations.
• Work in an outside environment while making deliveries.

• Must be able to prioritize job sites and deadlines.
• Must be able to manage stress depending on the customer’s deadline.
• Must be able to multitask.
• Must be able to receive information and directions.
