Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a Delivery Helper to assist drivers in delivering customer orders, loading and securing products, and potentially piloting an oversize-load escort vehicle. A valid driver’s license is required, and safety procedures must be followed.

You will plan workloads, keep vehicles in good condition, and provide excellent customer service while navigating maps and routes. The role typically requires basic math and the ability to operate material handling equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and one (1) year experience performing these or similar tasks, or equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Performs loading and securing product onto/off delivery vehicle; follows safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists with loading and securing product onto or inside delivery vehicle using motorized or non-motorized equipment.
• Drives pilot vehicle for oversize loads, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Inspects and maintains delivery vehicles for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Plans and paces work to meet daily/weekly/project goals.
• Follows safety procedures and attends required safety meetings.
