Columbia Distributing is seeking a Delivery Helper I to support Delivery Drivers on routes, merchandise products in stores, and assist with unloading and stocking as directed. The role operates both indoors and outdoors with local travel required.

The position is full-time, requires a valid driver’s license, and may include weekend shifts and overtime. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and auto insurance required.
• Minimum age 18 years.

Mansioni

• Assist Delivery Driver on assigned route, delivering and merchandising Company’s products safely and on time.

The Delivery Helper I works in a supporting role to the Delivery Driver. They ride along in the truck, or meet the Driver at the store to help merchandise and unload the product.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Delivery Driver on assigned route, delivering and merchandising Company's products in a safe, timely and professional manner
• Ride with Drivers or follow daily schedule as outlined by manager
• Assist with working product to the shelf or back-stock area per accounts' needs
• Rotate all Company's product according to Company standards
• Develop and maintain positive, cooperative and team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers and others you come into contact with throughout your job
• Adhere to and follow all Company policies, procedures and governmental regulations
• Adhere to all state liquor laws and regulations
• Provide excellent customer service to all assigned accounts
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with those of the Company's Core Values at all times
• Complete all other tasks or projects as assigned
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to resolve conflict
• Effective organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to drive

This job operates indoors and outdoors.

Physical Demands

• Lift/carry and push/pull 50 lbs. repetitively, moving kegs up to 165 lbs.

Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, days and hours of work vary and may include weekends; overtime may be required.

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and auto insurance required
• Minimum of 18 years of age

Preferred Education and Experience

• Previous grocery or retail experience
• Pervious merchandising experience
