Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Driver Helper in Greer, SC to join a two‑person delivery team. You will assist the driver with the safe handling and placement of appliances and heavy‑bulky items, and you may operate the box truck when needed from dock load through final placement.

The position requires lifting up to 75 lbs, good map literacy and strong customer service. The workday runs 5am–3pm; overtime and flexible scheduling may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license (REAL ID) required.
• Current DOT medical certification required.
• Ability to operate a box truck and drive the route when required.
• Must clear background screening and customer screenings before onboarding.
• Previous appliance, furniture or heavy‑bulky delivery experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs unassisted.
• Good reading of maps and geographic awareness.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Able to read and follow written instructions with accuracy.
• Able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Willing to work overtime and flexible schedules during peak season.

Responsibilities

• Handle, carry and place appliances and heavy‑bulky product safely inside customer homes or businesses.
• Protect customer homes with floor protection and safe navigation of stairs and tight spaces.
• Load, stage and secure product for the route and verify items before departure.
• Support route execution including navigation, coordination and customer communication at the door.
• Operate the box truck when required and assist when driver unavailable.
• Support pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Document and report any product or property damage and shortages.
• Follow detailed work instructions in a fast‑paced environment.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment for dock loading when trained.
• Maintain OSHA and safety compliance and keep vehicle and area clean.
• Provide professional customer service and perform additional duties as assigned.
