Job description

Position Summary

The primary functions of the Delivery Helper are to load, locate, back, prepare and restore the job site, prepare the truck for the following day and maintain the truck and equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company, state, and federal guidelines, including OSHA and DOT, for safety of all personnel.
• Perform pre‑trip inspections of equipment, paperwork, and loaded product to ensure order accuracy.
• Safely unload product and deliver to assigned areas as directed by the customer.
• Secure mud, equipment, metal, and pallets on the truck.
• Navigate routes to the job site.

Basic Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate information accurately; stamina to lift at least 75 lbs. of materials such as drywall and joint compound.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team; able to lead, execute, delegate, and collaborate to get the job done.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships at every level of the organization, including Field Operations and Field Support Center team members.
• Ability to self‑manage, show initiative, be proactive, and drive results.
• Professional communication with coworkers and customers, both verbally and in writing.

Physical Requirements

• Capable of remaining standing 90% of the time.
• Constantly move from unloading materials from commercial motor vehicles onto the job site.
• Position self‑to unload and load materials from flatbed or boom trucks.
• Frequently move materials weighing up to 100 lbs. while unloading and loading flatbed.
• Communicate accurately with management and coworkers in various situations.
• Work outdoors while making deliveries.

Salary & Benefits

The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of \$19.00 to \$20.91 per hour. Starting wage may vary based on factors including position, location, education, training, and/or experience. Hourly associates may be eligible for overtime, performance‑based bonus programs, commissions, car allowance, automobile and fuel program, and reimbursement for travel expenses in accordance with company travel policy.
