Job summary

Delivery Helper at SRS Distribution Inc. in Billings, MT loads and secures materials, locates job sites, backs in, and prepares the site for the next day while maintaining the truck and equipment.

The role requires following OSHA/DOT safety guidelines, performing pre-trip inspections, and safely unloading and delivering materials to designated areas. Strong reading/writing skills and the ability to lift 75 lbs are required, with outdoor work and teamwork essential.

Responsibilities

• Load, locate job sites, back in, prepare and restore the job site.
• Prepare the truck for the following day and maintain truck/equipment.
• Comply with OSHA/DOT guidelines for safety.
• Perform pre-trip inspections of equipment/paperwork for order accuracy.
• Safely unload product and deliver to assigned areas as directed by the customer.
• Secure loads on the truck; navigate routes to job sites.

Position Summary

The primary functions of the Delivery Helper are to load, locate job sites, backing, preparing and restoring the job site, and preparing the truck for the following day and maintaining the truck and equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Comply with company, state, and federal guidelines, particularly related to OSHA and DOT, to ensure the safety of all personnel
• Perform pre-trip inspections of equipment, paperwork, and loaded product to ensure order accuracy
• Safely unload product and deliver to assigned areas as directed by the customer
• Secure mud, equipment, metal, and pallets on the truck
• Navigate routes to assigned job sites

Basic Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate information accurately
• Stamina to lift at least 75 lbs. to carry materials such as drywall materials and joint compound

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain standing approximately 90% of the time
• Constantly move materials from commercial motor vehicles onto job sites
• Constantly position self to unload and load materials from flatbed or boom
• Frequently move materials weighing up to 100 lbs. while unloading and loading flatbed
• Must be able to communicate with management and coworkers and exchange accurate information
• Constantly work in an outdoor environment while making deliveries
