Whitsons Culinary Group is seeking a School Food Delivery Driver to support our nutrition program. The role involves delivering meals and supplies between district schools with a focus on safety, reliability, and timely service.

The position offers a family-friendly schedule, no nights or weekends, and opportunities to grow within a mission-driven team dedicated to student meals and learning. Pay rate is $20/hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; must complete Whitsons and government-mandated training as required.
• Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience; food service or delivery driving experience preferred.
• Clean, valid, and unblemished driver’s license required at all times.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English to understand route instructions and logs.

Responsibilities

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

Education

1. High school diploma or equivalentrequired;must complete allWhitsonsand government-mandated training asrequired.

Experience

1. Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience required; food service or delivery driving experience preferred.

Certifications

3. Attention to Detail:Ensures product is correctly loaded, transported, and delivered; completes vehicle logs, odometer records, and delivery receipts with accuracy.
4. Professionalism:Represents Whitsonspositively at all school locations; follows all district-specific delivery protocols and maintains a clean, well-kept vehicle and professional appearance at all times.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND OTHER DETAILS

Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time non-exempt position. Hours are aligned with the school district’s food service delivery schedule. Occasional extended hours or weekend work may be required.

Physical Demands of the Job

The Team Member is required to sit while driving and stand and walk when loading, unloading, and at delivery sites. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently, including while turning side to side. Exposure to extreme temperatures when accessing storerooms and freezers. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Work Environment

This position operates primarily in and around a company vehicle, with regular presence at school loading docks, storerooms, and freezer areas. Environmental conditions include varying temperatures and moderate to loud noise levels.
