Job Description – Delivery Driver
Job Type: Full-time (position will require occasional overtime)

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and reliable individual to join our team as a Delivery Van Driver. The role is based out of our Sarasota location and covers Florida’s west coast from Sarasota to Tarpon Springs, with occasional runs east to our Ft. Lauderdale distribution center. Working Tuesday through Friday, 10 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods or materials to designated locations.
• Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
• Plan and follow delivery routes efficiently to meet schedules and deadlines.
• Verify delivery instructions and addresses before departure for accurate and timely deliveries.
• Collect payments for delivered goods, if required, and obtain signatures from recipients as proof of delivery.
• Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles regularly, performing routine maintenance such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and brakes.
• Follow traffic laws and safety regulations while driving and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and colleagues to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues.
• Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel expenses.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods at warehouses or distribution centers, as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of local roads and routes.
• Ability to safely operate and maneuver delivery vehicles, including vans, trucks, or other equipment.
