Job summary

Lewis Marine Supply in sunny South Florida is hiring a Delivery Driver to safely deliver products to customers and assist with warehouse operations. You will load and unload, plan routes, verify addresses, collect payments when required, and maintain delivery records while upholding high standards of customer service.

Ideal candidates have a valid driver’s license, knowledge of local roads, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company delivery vehicles to transport products and materials to designated customer and company locations.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload products with care to prevent damage.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes while meeting established delivery schedules and deadlines.
• Verify delivery addresses and orders before departure for accuracy and timeliness.
• Collect payments when required and obtain customer signatures or other required documentation as proof of delivery.
• Inspect delivery vehicles and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Comply with traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies and procedures.
• Maintain professional communication with dispatchers, customers, warehouse personnel, and coworkers.
• Maintain records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, vehicle inspections, and other required documentation.
• Assist with loading and unloading products at warehouses and customer locations as needed.
• Ensure delivery vehicles are clean, organized, and in good operating condition.
• Provide exceptional customer service and represent Lewis Marine Supply professionally.

Position Overview: We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Delivery Driver. The Delivery Driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering products to customers while providing excellent customer service. This position will also assist with warehouse operations, including inventory management, order preparation, data entry, and maintaining accurate delivery documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate company delivery vehicles to transport products and materials to designated customer and company locations.
• Properly load, secure, transport, and unload products, ensuring all items are handled with care to prevent damage.
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes while meeting established delivery schedules and deadlines.
• Review and verify delivery addresses, instructions, and orders before departure to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
• Collect payments when required and obtain customer signatures or other required documentation as proof of delivery.
• Conduct routine inspections of delivery vehicles and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns. Perform basic checks, including oil levels, tire pressure, lights, and brakes.
• Comply with all applicable traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies and procedures.
• Maintain professional and effective communication with dispatchers, customers, warehouse personnel, and coworkers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, vehicle inspections, and other required documentation.
• Assist with loading and unloading products at warehouses, distribution centers, and customer locations as needed.
• Ensure delivery vehicles are kept clean, organized, and in good operating condition.
• Provide exceptional customer service and represent Lewis Marine Supply in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of local roads and routes.
• Ability to safely operate and maneuver delivery vehicles, including vans, trucks, or other transportation equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
