Daikin Comfort Technologies Distribution, Inc. is seeking a professional Local Delivery Driver for our branch operations in the Philadelphia area.

The role involves safe operation of company trucks, timely delivery to customer and company locations, loading/unloading, and basic warehouse duties with front counter support. The ideal candidate is at least 21 years old, holds a valid driver’s license, understands DOT regulations, and has 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of driving a commercial vehicle
• Valid driver’s license in the state of employment
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations
• DOT screening annually
• Placement as driver is contingent upon successful completion of DOT road test, pre-employment drug & alcohol testing, and background check
• DMV record cannot reflect an excess of 2 moving violations and/or preventable accidents within the past 3 years
• High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and deliver products to customer sites safely within designated time frames.
• Maintain required logs and reports to comply with DOT and company safety policies.
• Safely load, block and secure cargo for transport.
• Operate forklifts and assist with warehouse and front-counter duties as needed.
• Follow safety practices and good housekeeping.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle checks.
• Must be able to multi-task and assist in branch operations as needed.
