Job Summary:

The PGW Auto Glass Delivery Driver and Warehouse employee is responsible for loading, transporting, and delivering automotive glass products to customers on a designated route. This role includes safe handling of fragile glass, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to operate a delivery vehicle safely and efficiently in compliance with all regulations. Key Responsibilities and Duties

1. Load, secure, and transport automotive glass and related materials safely.
2. Deliver glass products to customers on an assigned route, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
3. Operate company vehicles, including box trucks, in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
4. Accurately pick, pack, and load customer orders.
5. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
6. Unload and assist customers with their deliveries, ensuring products arrive undamaged.
7. Maintain a professional appearance and provide outstanding customer service.
8. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
9. Maintain accurate delivery records, including invoices and proof of delivery documents.
10. Assist in warehouse operations, including inventory checks and material organization, as needed.
11. Follow proper handling and safety protocols to prevent product damage and ensure workplace safety.
12. Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, dispatch, and customers to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications and Skills

1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. (Medical DOT certification may be required to operate certain vehicles.)
3. Previous delivery driving experience, preferably handling fragile materials.
4. Ability to operate or willingness to learn how to use warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in loading, securing, and delivering products.
6. Basic computer skills for route navigation and delivery documentation.
7. Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 75 pounds regularly.
8. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
9. Commitment to safety procedures and workplace regulations.
10. Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

1. Driving and delivering in various weather conditions.
2. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
3. Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots.
4. Handling fragile automotive glass products with precision and caution.
5. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required based on business needs.
