Job summary

Consolidated Electrical Distributors (CED) in Gilroy, CA is seeking a Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate to split time between deliveries and warehouse tasks. You will load, deliver, and stock, while maintaining safety and efficiency and working with a team or independently.

Ideal candidates have a valid driver's license, a clean driving history, and the ability to operate a Microsoft-based computer system. CDL endorsement is not required.

Qualifications

• Valid drivers license and clean driving history (CDL not required).
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to work in warehouse and drive safely.
• Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a vehicle safely and maintain a driving record.
• Load/unload materials for delivery.
• Deliver/pick up merchandise to/from customers and suppliers.
• Receive incoming freight and stock shelves.
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized.
• Communicate vehicle mechanical problems to supervisor.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections.

Summary:

A Delivery Driver and Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Clerk will split their time between completing deliveries and working in the warehouse. Each day will be different, depending on shipments and customer orders. Ideal candidates will be able to work well with a team and on their own.

Minimum Qualifications:

In order to operate our trucks, you will need a valid driver's license and a clean driving history. A CDL endorsement is not required.

Authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant Experience.

Working Conditions:

Warehouse environment and outdoor conditions including sometimes extreme hot/cold temperatures. Deliveries in all weather conditions including during extreme hot/cold, rain and other seasonal conditions.

Essential Job Functions:

• Legally operate a motor vehicle and maintain a driving record that meets company standards


• Load all order fulfillment materials onto the truck for delivery and unload at delivery


• Communicate any vehicle mechanical problems to direct supervisor


• Perform daily inspection and maintenance on company vehicle


• Deliver/pick up merchandise to/from customers and suppliers promptly, efficiently, and in a professional manner


• Pick up material from vendors


• Receive incoming freight


• Keep a clean and organized warehouse


• Stock material on shelves


• Pick orders


• Processing returns from customers and to vendors


• Operate a Microsoft-based computer system

Compensation Range:

The compensation range for this position is $22 to $25 hourly.
