Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture is seeking a committed delivery driver to load, deliver, and unload merchandise to customers, ensuring accuracy and safety. You will obtain signatures, document deliveries, and help maintain warehouse and showroom standards.

The role requires basic assembly tasks and occasional repossession support, with adherence to DOT guidelines. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and at least six months in distribution or warehouse work, plus a valid driver's license

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; six months experience in a distribution or warehouse environment; must possess and maintain a valid State Drivers License and have a general familiarity with the delivery area.
• Must be able to meet DOT requirements (e.g., Medical Examiners Certification and Driver’s DOT qualification file).

Responsibilities

• Drive delivery truck in assigned zone to deliver products to customers.
• Load truck in preparation for daily deliveries and unload at customer location.
• Obtain customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
• Record deliveries on delivery record and submit to management.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance and safety; perform basic vehicle checks.
• Unload merchandise from warehouse and prepare it for display.
• Maintain cleanliness of store/warehouse interior and grounds.
• Place stock on shelves and set up displays.
• Assemble merchandise as required.
• Assist with repossessions of goods.
• Provide customer service inspections and repairs as needed.
