We are seeking a delivery driver who can also serve as a shop technician to join our team. This part-time, permanent role offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with potential for additional hours based on business needs and performance. The role involves split duties between shop work and pickup/delivery driving. As a shop technician, responsibilities include cleaning and restoring Diesel Particulate Filters, Diesel Oxidation Catalysts, and Select Catalyst Reduction devices; disassembling and preparing components for service; inspecting and identifying components that require replacement; operating cleaning and repair equipment; using digital workflows to record processes; greeting walk-in customers; building invoices; and handling payments. There is potential to perform in-house diagnostics, removal, and reinstallation of filters on light-duty diesel trucks, with welding tasks temporarily outsourced but with company-paid training provided.

The delivery driver duties include collecting filters and components from customers, returning them for servicing, and delivering cleaned components back to customers. The role requires excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure timely deliveries and pickups, gathering customer and vehicle information via digital workflows, and maintaining the cleanliness and maintenance of the delivery vehicle. When not delivering, duties include cleaning the shop, vehicle maintenance, and assisting the sales team.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Cleaning/restoration of Diesel Particulate Filters, Diesel Oxidation Catalysts, and SCR devices.
2. Disassembling and preparing components for service.
3. Inspecting components for serviceability and identifying replacements.
4. Operating cleaning and repair equipment.
5. Welding and replacing damaged components and sensors as needed.
6. Matching filter parts with appropriate clamps and gaskets.
7. Creating and sending customer invoices.
8. Driving to pick up and deliver components, ensuring timely service.
9. Gathering detailed pickup and delivery information via digital workflows.
10. Maintaining the delivery vehicle and performing daily safety checks.
11. Collaborating with outside sales to facilitate sales and generate new business.
12. Representing DPF Alternatives professionally and ethically.
13. Adhering to all safety and company policies.
14. Performing other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Steel toe boots and proper PPE required.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Professional demeanor and ability to lift heavy items.
• Proficiency with basic hand and power tools, including cutting and welding exhaust tubing.
• Experience with disassembly and removal of exhaust sensors.
• Ability to operate a digital tablet for data entry.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Working Conditions:

• Must be physically capable of extensive driving and working outdoors in adverse weather.
• Daily travel within the company’s geographical area required.
