Job summary

S.A. Comunale Co., Inc. is hiring a Delivery Driver / Shop Associate to transport materials and keep the shop and office organized. You will work with the Delivery Driver and Branch Manager to ensure timely delivery and accurate handling of materials at construction sites.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, securing loads, vehicle inspection, and maintaining logs in accordance with state and federal regulations. Forklift experience and physical capability are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years delivery driving or related work experience required.
• DOT Medical Card or willingness to obtain required.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record required.
• Forklift operation experience required.
• Ability to lift at least 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Verify and secure loads.
• Inspect truck for defects before and after trips.
• Drive truck to assigned destinations as needed.
• Assist loading/unloading trucks.
• Maintain truck log per regulations.
• Perform minor roadside repairs when needed.

Job Summary

Job Title: Delivery Driver / Shop Associate

S.A. Comunale is seeking a Delivery Driver / Shop Asspcoate. This position will be working with the Delivery Driver and Branch Manager to assist in transporting materials and equipment to specific construction job sites as well as keeping organization and of the shop and office area.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Verifies and secures loads.
• Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.
• Drives truck to assigned destination(s) when needed.
• Assists workers in unloading and loading trucks when required.
• Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations.
• Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses, etc. when needed.
• Monitor and keep the shop / shop yard clean of all debris.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence.
• Maintains cleanliness for shop/warehouse, storage yard, parking lot as needed.
• Maintains cleanliness for office area consistently as needed.
• Delivers and picks up permit applications, permits, and approved drawings when needed.
• Must be able to work OT and off hour shifts if required.
• Restock returned material.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of delivery driving or related work experience is required.
• Vocational or industry trade school is a plus.
• Possession of a current DOT Medical Card or willingness to obtain is required.
• Valid driver's license with driving record that meets or exceeds Company standards found in the Fleet Policy is required.
• Previous experience operating a forklift is required.
• Able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds is required.
• Average experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word and Excel) applications is required.
