Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. in Savannah, GA is seeking a Driver to operate company vehicles and deliver products safely and on time. You will load, unload, and verify deliveries, while maintaining compliance with DOT/OSHA requirements and company safety programs.

This role requires 1 year of driving and forklift/warehouse experience, a valid license, and excellent teamwork. Expect 80% travel to branches and a comprehensive benefits package in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of delivery truck driving experience
• 1 year of forklift and warehouse experience
• 1 year of customer service experience, preferred
• Proficiency in computer and inventory systems, preferred
• Must be 21 years of age
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Maintain a satisfactory driving record as determined by Company Driver Policies
• Qualify for and remain insurable under Company liability insurance policies
• Meet federal and state requirements to operate the vehicle

Responsibilities

• Deliver specified product to various locations in a safe and efficient manner by driving short and long distances during the day
• Coordinate with management to ensure safe and efficient delivery routes
• Verify with the customer at the time of delivery that the correct product was delivered in satisfactory condition
• Perform loading and unloading of the truck as needed
• Maintain all required certifications required by DOT, OSHA, and company safety programs
• Ensure all required paperwork, including but not limited to shipping papers and Hazmat paperwork, is accurately completed and in possession
• Perform pre- and post-trip truck inspections
• Maintain truck maintenance records
• Notify management of any safety issues with company vehicles
• Provide support to Warehouse Associates
• Participate in after-hours training classes
• Work overtime as assigned
• Work cooperatively with others
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
