Job summary

HD Supply is seeking a delivery driver in Austin, TX to perform customer deliveries using a company-provided or rental vehicle. You will maintain records of deliveries, inspect and maintain delivery vehicles, and provide customer service on order and delivery issues.

The role requires an acceptable MVR status and a valid driver’s license, with routine contact to the distribution center for delivery updates.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Delivers customer orders safely within a service area and interfaces with customers on order issues.
• Follows planned routes for timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Loads inventory into trucks and unloads orders at customer sites using material handling equipment.
• Provides exceptional customer service by being professional and polite during deliveries.
• Reviews order manifests to ensure orders and daily routes are complete and accurate.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and internal policies.
