Ascend Wellness Holdings, Inc. is seeking a reliable delivery driver to bring cannabis orders from our New Jersey stores directly to customers’ doors in Wharton.

You will follow routes, verify IDs, and deliver an outstanding customer experience, while maintaining safety and compliance with state regulations. This full-time role includes a company vehicle, branded uniform, onboarding and safety training, dispatch support, and a company-sponsored credential.

Competenze

• Must be 21 years of age or older per New Jersey cannabis regulations.
• Valid driver’s license and a motor vehicle record that meets fleet insurance requirements.
• Able to obtain and maintain a New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission credential (company-sponsored).
• Able to lift and carry packages up to 35 lbs, get in and out of a vehicle repeatedly, and work in all weather conditions.
• Comfortable using a smartphone and navigation apps.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.

About the role

Ascend’s delivery drivers bring cannabis orders from our licensed New Jersey stores directly to customers’ doors. You’re the one person a delivery customer meets in person, so this role comes down to two things: driving safely and delivering an outstanding customer experience. Drivers work out of a store location, follow assigned delivery routes using our routing app, and are supported by a dedicated dispatch team. Depending on the store, this is either a dedicated full-time driving role or a combined driver/store associate role scheduled around delivery demand.

What you’ll do

• Follow assigned delivery routes and complete orders within the promised time window


• Pick, pack, and verify orders against the manifest before leaving the store


• Check valid government-issued ID and confirm legal age on every delivery


• Keep orders secured in the vehicle safe and follow cash-handling procedures


• Complete a vehicle walk-around before each shift and report any damage or issues


• Greet customers in uniform, handle every delivery with courtesy and discretion, and offer accessories and reorder information


• Report delays, order problems, accidents, or safety concerns to dispatch right away


• Complete end-of-day returns and reconciliation


• Help onboard new drivers and support new delivery locations when needed

Safety first

Nothing we deliver is worth an accident. Drivers are expected to drive defensively and legally, wear a seat belt, obey speed limits, and never use a handheld phone while driving. Company vehicles are equipped with telematics, and driving coaching is part of the job. If a delivery situation ever feels unsafe, you leave and contact dispatch — no exceptions.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older, as required by New Jersey cannabis regulations


• Valid driver’s license and a motor vehicle record that meets our fleet insurance requirements


• Able to obtain and maintain a New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission credential (company-sponsored)


• Able to lift and carry packages up to 35 lbs, get in and out of a vehicle repeatedly, and work in all weather conditions


• Comfortable using a smartphone and navigation/routing apps


• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends


• Some positions are covered by a collective bargaining agreement

• Spanish or other bilingual skills

Compensation and benefits

• Pay: $16.50 - 18.00 per hour
