Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Delivery Driver will deliver parts to a pre-determined group of customers. The driver should be friendly, courteous, and able to work well with others in a team environment. The goal is to make timely deliveries while adhering to all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies.

Knowledge, Skills, Duties, and Abilities

• Deliver orders accurately to customers by driving a vehicle.
• Pick up cores and returns from customers, and process credits properly and accurately.
• Handle or report customer problems to the Store or Warehouse Manager.
• Report to work punctually and consistently.
• Provide basic vehicle care and maintenance.
• Maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets underwriting standards.
• Follow all policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Driver's Handbook, and Fleet Safety Policy.
• Assist in special projects as requested.

Conditions of Employment

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Obtain and maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) prior to hire.
• Complete a pre-employment drug test successfully.

Work Schedule

Flexible schedule required, including days, evenings, and weekends as needed to provide quality service and support business growth.

• Exposure to various environmental conditions and hazards.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and check fluids regularly.
• Follow all safety and driving policies; report accidents immediately.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

• Satisfactory MVR.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test.
