Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Delivery Driver in San Diego, CA to support Pharmacy Services & Delivery. The role involves delivering radiopharmaceuticals or oncology meds to customer accounts on an assigned route using a company vehicle (non-CDL).

You will scan orders, manage route information, and ensure accurate packages and timely deliveries. Candidates should have a high school diploma, be at least 18 years old, and possess a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills and clear communication.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be comfortable driving in various conditions.
• Prior delivery driving experience is a plus.
• Ability to handle physical tasks and lift up to 75 pounds when needed.
• Flexibility to work different days, schedules, or overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and makes deliveries to customer accounts on assigned route using a company vehicle (non-cdl).
• Packages radiopharmaceutical medication for shipment and loads/unloads containers.
• Uses a handheld tablet to scan orders, obtain route information and navigation.
• Processes packages returned from customer locations.
• Maintains vehicles in proper working condition and may perform minor roadside repairs.
• Performs general facility cleaning and other duties as required.

Pay rate: $20.50 per hour Bonus eligible: No. Shift: 40 hours per week Mon-Fri 4:45am-1:15pm. Candidate must be flexible to work different days, schedules, hours, come in early, stay late, or work overtime based on business needs.

What Pharmacy Services & Delivery contributes to Cardinal Health

Pharmacy Services & Delivery is responsible for the prompt and accurate delivery and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals or oncology pharmaceuticals to medical care providers in accordance with customer demand and requirements of the assigned route. Prepares doses for shipment, prepares cases, wipes doses, and loads and unloads containers in keeping with the prescribed safety standards and Department of Transportation (DOT).

• Uses a handheld tablet to scan customer orders for accuracy, obtain route stop information and navigation

• Maintains vehicles in proper working condition and may perform minor roadside repairs
• Performs general facility cleaning and other duties as required

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• Must hold a valid driver's license
• Prior delivery driving experience a plus
• Minimum of 18 years of age due to driving of company owned vehicle
• Ability to manage weight up to 75 pounds
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hours
• Ability to sit, stand, be mobile and operate a vehicle for extended periods of time
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work on-call/holidays as part of a rotation
• Flexibility to work various shifts or overtime as needed
• Ability to use computers and tablets
