Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking a Delivery Driver to promptly transport radiopharmaceuticals and oncology medications to healthcare providers on an assigned route. The role uses a company vehicle and requires accurate order scanning and safe handling of shipments.

The position offers a 40-hour week, day shift hours, with occasional weekends/holidays and potential overtime to meet business needs. A $500 new hire sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions, day or night.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Excellent reading and writing in English for documents.

Responsibilities

• Deliver radiopharmaceuticals or oncology medications to medical care providers on the assigned route using a company vehicle (non-CDL).
• Package medications for shipment and load/unload containers; perform testing as needed.
• Use a handheld tablet to scan orders, obtain route stop information and navigation.
• Process package returns from customer locations.
• Maintain vehicle condition and perform minor roadside repairs.
• Assist with general facility cleaning and other duties as required.

Shift/Schedule

• Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 2:00 pm
• Occasional weekends and some holidays as assigned. Occasional overtime should late deliveries occur.
• Candidate must be flexible to work different days, schedules, hours, come in early, stay late, or work overtime based on business needs.

What Pharmacy Services & Delivery contributes to Cardinal Health

Responsible for the prompt and accurate delivery and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals or oncology pharmaceuticals to medical care providers in accordance with customer demand and requirements of the assigned route. Prepares doses for shipment, prepares cases, wipes doses, and loads and unloads containers in keeping with the prescribed safety standards and Department of Transportation (DOT).

Responsibilities

• Prepares and makes deliveries to customer accounts on assigned route using a company vehicle (non-cdl)
• Packages radiopharmaceutical medication for shipment, performs testing, and loads/unloads containers
• Uses a handheld tablet to scan customer orders for accuracy, obtain route stop information and navigation
• Processes packages returned from customer locations
• Maintains vehicles in proper working condition and may perform minor roadside repairs
• Performs general facility cleaning and other duties as required

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age due to driving of company owned vehicle
• Must hold a valid driver's license
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hours
• Ability to manage weightup to 75 pounds
• Ability to sit, stand, be mobile and operate a vehicle for extended periods of time
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, overtime, alternate days/shifts, or be in a rotation
• Comfortable working in a nuclear environment
• Ability to use computers and tablets
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Prior delivery driving experience a plus
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• Basic proficiency in English is required, including being able to read and write in English in order to process documents.
• May require vendor credentialing
