Job summary

US Foods in Norcross is seeking a delivery driver for the early morning shift at 1608 Hillcrest Rd. You will safely drive to customers, unload products, verify deliveries with signatures, and handle any payments when needed.

A CDL Class A with endorsements and DOT qualifications is required, along with FMCSA Clearinghouse registration and 21+ age. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and excellent customer service, with standard benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K, and life

Qualifications

• Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
• Minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months commercial driving experience in the food/beverage delivery industry
• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
• Must be able to read and communicate in English — understand highway signs and signals and enter information on reports

Responsibilities

Main Ingredients of the Job

• Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
• Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
• Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
• Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
• Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
• Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required
• Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required

What You Bring to the Table

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $27.21/hr and $31.47/hr.

As applicable, this role may also receive overtime compensation and component pay (i.e., based on cases, mileage, stops).
