Job summary

Hajoca Corporation in Baton Rouge, LA seeks a Delivery Driver Non CDL to safely operate trucks over 10,000 lbs, load and unload merchandise, and assist customers at delivery sites. You will review documents, collect payments for cash sales, and maintain safety and vehicle condition throughout the day.

The role requires compliance with DOT regulations, a valid license, and the ability to work independently in a warehouse delivery environment.

Qualifications

• Be able to drive a vehicle over 10,000 lbs.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Possess a proper and valid driver's license.
• Have a driving record that meets Authorized Driver criteria.
• Be able to pass a DOT physical before starting and every two years.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks safely and in compliance with rules and regulations; destinations include job sites, customer facilities, and other Hajoca locations.
• Load the truck with merchandise and secure the load; ensure equipment to unload is available.
• Understand and verify shipping documents and directions for deliveries; ensure order accuracy.
• Unload merchandise and obtain legible signatures; collect outstanding payments for cash sales before release.
• Work with customers to resolve shipping discrepancies quickly and accurately.
• Load from other locations; take merchandise from vendor locations or other wholesalers.
• Provide sales leads by noting prospective customer names and addresses.
• Inspect truck and parts to ensure safe operation; keep cab and body clean.
• Complete safety and compliance training; report mechanical issues to management.
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
