Delivery Driver- Non CDL (Finance)

Are you friendly and do you thrive on providing great customer service? Are you detail-oriented and safety conscious? Do you enjoy working independently? If so, we'd like you to join our team as a Delivery Driver- non CDL.

About the Role:

You will:

1. Operate trucks safely and in compliance with Company rules, applicable laws, and regulations. Destinations include job sites, customer facilities, vendor facilities, other Hajoca locations, facilities of other wholesalers, or other locations as directed by management.
2. Load the truck at the Profit Center with Hajoca merchandise to be delivered. Secure the load properly so that nothing will shift, get damaged, or fall from the truck. Ensure that the necessary equipment to safely unload the merchandise is available.
3. Understand the shipping documents associated with each delivery and have accurate directions to each destination.
4. Review shipping documentation for accuracy and ensure correct order fulfillment.
5. Unload the correct merchandise from the truck and place it where the receiving party wants it. Obtain a legible signature for all merchandise delivered per Company policy and procedure.
6. Collect and secure outstanding payments for all cash sale deliveries prior to releasing the material to the customer.
7. Work with customers at the delivery site to resolve shipping discrepancies quickly and accurately.
8. Load the truck at other locations with merchandise, including merchandise picked up at vendor locations, returned by customers, and purchased from other wholesalers.
9. Provide sales leads by noting prospective customer names and addresses discovered during deliveries.
10. Inspect the truck and required parts and accessories to determine safe operating condition prior to departure. Keep the truck clean of debris in cab and body.
11. Report any mechanical problems to management. Complete the Driver's Daily Vehicle Inspection Report when applicable.
12. At the end of the workday, remove keys from the truck and store them in the approved location.
13. Complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and management.

About You:

• You must be able to drive a vehicle over 10,000 lbs. As a non-CDL driver, you must:
• Be at least 21 years old
• Possess a valid driver's license
• Have a driving record that meets company criteria for an Authorized Driver
• Pass a Department of Transportation physical exam before starting and at least every two years

• Know and apply laws, rules, and regulations governing driving motor vehicles, especially those regulated by the Department of Transportation.
• Practice safety precautions in warehouse and material handling environments.
• Build positive relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
• Remain calm and effective in stressful or emergency situations.
• Learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment and computer systems related to delivery.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
