Delivery Driver (non-CDL) (Finance)

About the Role:
You will:
- Operate trucks safely and in compliance with Company rules, applicable laws, and regulations. Destinations include job sites, customer facilities, vendor facilities, other Hajoca locations, facilities of other wholesalers, or other locations as directed by management.
- Load the truck at the Profit Center with Hajoca merchandise to be delivered. Secure the load properly to prevent shifting, damage, or falling. Ensure that the necessary equipment for safe unloading is available.
- Understand shipping documents associated with each delivery and have accurate directions to each destination.
- Review shipping documentation to ensure order accuracy.
- Unload merchandise at the delivery site as per customer instructions. Obtain a legible signature for all delivered merchandise following Company policy.
- Collect and secure outstanding payments for cash sales prior to releasing the merchandise to the customer.
- Work with customers to resolve shipping discrepancies quickly and accurately.
- Load merchandise at other locations, including vendor pickups, customer returns, and purchases from other wholesalers.
- Note prospective customer information during deliveries to provide sales leads.
- Inspect the truck and required parts to ensure safe operation before departure. Keep the truck clean.
- Report any mechanical issues to management. Complete the Driver's Daily Vehicle Inspection Report when required.
- At the end of each day, remove keys from the truck and store them in the designated location.
- Complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors.
About You:
- You must be able to drive vehicles over 10,000 lbs. As a non-CDL driver, you should:
- Be at least 21 years old
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Have a driving record that qualifies you as an Authorized Driver per Company policy
- Pass a Department of Transportation physical exam before starting and at least every two years

- Know and apply laws, rules, and regulations for motor vehicle operation, especially those related to DOT regulations.
- Practice safety precautions in warehouse and material handling environments.
- Build positive relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
- Remain calm and effective in stressful or emergency situations.
- Learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment and delivery-related computer systems.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Perform basic math operations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
