Delivery Driver- Non CDL (Finance)

Are you friendly and do you thrive on providing great customer service? Are you detail-oriented and safety conscious? Do you enjoy working independently? If so, we'd like you to join our team as a Delivery Driver- Non CDL.

About the Role:

You will:

1. Operate trucks safely and in compliance with company rules, applicable laws, and regulations. Destinations include job sites, customer facilities, vendor facilities, other Hajoca locations, facilities of other wholesalers, or other locations as directed by management.
2. Load the truck at the Profit Center with Hajoca merchandise to be delivered. Secure the load properly to prevent shifting, damage, or falling. Ensure necessary equipment for safe unloading is available.
3. Understand shipping documents related to each delivery and have accurate directions to each destination.
4. Review shipping documentation for accuracy.

1. Unload the correct merchandise at the delivery site and place it as requested. Obtain a legible signature for all merchandise delivered, per company policy.
2. Collect and secure outstanding payments for cash sales prior to releasing merchandise to customers.
3. Work with customers to resolve shipping discrepancies promptly and accurately.

1. Load merchandise at other locations, including vendor pickups, customer returns, and other wholesalers.
2. Provide sales leads by noting prospective customer information discovered during deliveries.
3. Inspect the truck and required parts to ensure safe operation before departure. Keep the truck clean of debris.
4. Report any mechanical issues to management. Complete the Driver's Daily Vehicle Inspection Report at the end of the workday if operating a vehicle with GVWR of 10,001 lbs. or more.

1. Secure keys after the workday in the approved location.
2. Complete required safety and compliance training programs.
3. Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors and management.

About You:

• You must be able to drive a vehicle over 10,000 lbs. As a non-CDL driver, you should:

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Have a driving record that qualifies you as an Authorized Driver per company policy.
• Pass a Department of Transportation physical examination before starting and every two years thereafter.

• Know the laws, rules, and regulations for driving motor vehicles, especially those governed by the Department of Transportation.
• Apply and practice safety precautions in warehouse and material handling environments.

• Learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment.
• Learn and operate delivery-related computer systems.

• Perform basic math operations with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
