Job summary

Viking Electric in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a driven Delivery Driver to join our local team. You will start each day with a pre-trip check, load and deliver electrical products to customers, and represent Viking Electric with professionalism and care.

You’ll earn $27.00–$32.00 per hour, enjoy a full benefits package, and have opportunities for growth within the Sonepar family. This position is local, with evening off and consistent weekday hours, offering stability and a clear career path.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license - Class B CDL.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to climb into and drive delivery vehicles.
• Ability to lift packages up to 85 pounds.
• Ability to pass and maintain Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.
• Basic math skills.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Willingness to learn how to operate equipment (training provided).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship.

• Transport and deliver products to customers with care.
• Unload items such as wire, pipe, conduit, and boxes during deliveries.

License: Class B CDL required

Vehicle Type: Box truck/straight truck

Schedule: 6am-3pm, Monday - Friday

Hourly pay: $27.00 - $32.00/hr (pay increases in range depending on Class B delivery experience brought to role)

Compensation for this position includes hourly pay, short-term incentive bonus, and full benefits package offerings. The exact amount of base salary may vary based on experience and skills brought to the role as well as the geographic location of the role.

What You’ll Do

As a driver, you play a vital role in delivering essential electrical products from our warehouse to our valued customers. Each day begins with a thorough pre-trip inspection of your delivery vehicle, followed by loading materials and packages to prepare for the day ahead. You will make local deliveries, contacting customers upon arrival and assisting them with unloading. As the face of our company, you’ll build strong relationships with customers who rely on your service and support.

Requirements

What You Bring

• Valid driver’s license - Class B CDL
• Be at least 21 years old
• Ability to climb into and drive delivery vehicles
• Ability to lift packages that could weigh up to 85 pounds
• Ability to pass and maintain Department of Transportation (DOT) physical with our physician network.
• Basic math skills (add and subtract numbers)
• Basic English communication skills
• Willingness to learn how to operate equipment (we provide training)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred, But Not Required

• 1 year of related experience and/or training
