Job summary

AutoZone is seeking a Delivery Driver in Abilene, TX to drive company-provided vehicles and deliver automotive parts to commercial customers and DIY shoppers. You’ll support store operations with a focus on safety, accuracy, and customer service excellence.

Requirements include being at least 18, a valid driver’s license, basic automotive knowledge, and the ability to lift and load merchandise. Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
• Valid Driver’s License & Safety Compliance: Must possess a valid driver’s license and adhere to AutoZone’s driver safety requirements to ensure responsible and secure vehicle operation.
• Automotive Knowledge: Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, load and deliver merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service Excellence & Communication – Deliver WOW! Customer Service by engaging with commercial customers and DIY shoppers, providing clear and professional automotive advice and offering installation services.
• Leadership & Teamwork – Work closely with store personnel and commercial accounts, ensuring smooth team collaboration and strong customer relationships.
• Metrics Mindedness & Process Orientation – Maintain efficient delivery operations, meeting time and accuracy goals while following company policies.
• Delivery Operations – Drive company-provided vehicles, ensuring safe and timely deliveries of automotive parts to commercial customers. Load and unload parts accurately per route schedules.
• Returns & Pickups – Collect returns, cores, and parts from nearby stores or outside vendors.
• Safety Compliance – Adhere to PPE guidelines and fleet safety policies to maintain a safe driving and working environment.
• Cash & Charge Transactions – Process customer payments securely and in accordance with company policies.
• Product Knowledge & Fleet Maintenance – Stay updated on promotions and automotive products through AutoZone systems. Maintain delivery vehicles and report any issues promptly.
