Job summary

Rexel USA is hiring a Truck Driver to join our Portland, ME team. You will deliver products to customers and Rexel locations in a delivery van or box truck with no CDL required, performing inspections and ensuring accurate deliveries.

The role emphasizes safety, DOT compliance, and accurate documentation, with potential mentorship to entry-level drivers and branch support duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of the Motor Vehicle Record.
• Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate within 60 days of hire.
• Must not have had a suspended driver’s license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years.
• Must not have any at fault accidents in the past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to/from customers, company branches/warehouses, and suppliers in a delivery van or box truck (No CDL required).
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and complete inspection reports.
• Load or unload materials and ensure accuracy and damage-free condition.
• Prepare orders for delivery and ensure proper documentation is completed.
• Assist in preparing orders for delivery as needed.
• Maintain compliance with DOT, local and state driving laws and regulations.
• Possibly train entry level drivers and provide mentorship.
• Perform additional duties at the branch as needed (counter sales, stocking, packing, shipping).
• Adhere to routes, schedules and safety procedures.
