Job summary

Green Valley Greenhouse in Ramsey, MN is seeking a delivery driver who also assists with retail merchandising. You will be the face of our brand at wholesale customer sites, delivering greenhouse products and supporting display setups.

We offer a steady schedule during core season (August–November), typical hours 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and full-time year-round employment with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, discounts, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Valid Class D driver's license (or CDL) required.
• Clean 3-year driving record with no major infractions.
• Must be at least 19 years old.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work safely around conveyor belts.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Deliver wholesale greenhouse products to customer sites on time and professionally.
• Assist in loading/unloading product carts from the delivery truck.
• Obtain customer signatures and handle delivery paperwork and logs.
• Maintain communication with routing office about schedule updates.
• Condense plant products as sales occur and restock displays.
• Communicate daily with store personnel to boost sales and customer satisfaction.
• Adhere to local traffic laws and drive in varying weather conditions.
• Assist in greenhouse tasks during non-delivery times.

Job Requirements

• License: Valid Class D driver's license (or applicable CDL).

• Age Requirement: Must be at least 19 years of age.
• Skills: Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Safety: Ability to work safely around conveyor belts.
• Physical Demands: Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and move up to 40 pounds.
• Stamina: Ability to continuously stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the day.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Deliver wholesale greenhouse products to customer sites in a timely, professional manner.
• Assist in loading and unloading product carts from the delivery truck.
• Obtain customer signatures and handle delivery paperwork and logs.
• Maintain open contact with the routing office regarding schedule updates or delivery changes.
• Condense plant products as sales occur, remove empty carts, and restock displays with fresh plants.
• Communicate daily with store personnel to enhance sales and customer satisfaction.
• Obey all local traffic laws and safely operate vehicles in varying weather conditions.
• Work within the greenhouse assisting with assembly and plant care during non-delivery times.

Schedule & Season Details

• Core Season: Primarily August, September, and November (October focuses on tasks working in the greenhouse).
• Hours: Typical hours are 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, with extended hours required during peak seasonal times.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour.
