Job summary

Lincare in Pennsylvania is seeking a Delivery Driver to ensure safe and timely delivery of home medical equipment to patients and to provide equipment setup and patient education on proper use.

Key duties include following routes, maintaining vehicle safety, assisting patients, and supporting on-call rotations during evenings and weekends. The role requires excellent communication, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift heavy loads.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum one year of experience in a professional driving role.
• Home care/health care background is a plus.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Follow patient orientation checklists during delivery and training.
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules.
• Maintain safe driving record and comply with DOT/FDA requirements.
• Inspect and maintain delivery vehicle and ensure safety during loading/unloading.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients and team members.
• Participate in on-call rotations during evenings/weekends as required.

We are currently seeking a Delivery Driver to join our growing team, ensuring safe and timely delivery of home medical equipment to our patients, also providing equipment setup and educating patients on the proper use of equipment.

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Follow complete patient orientation checklists during delivery and training
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
• Inspect and maintain company-provided delivery vehicle, ensuring safety during the loading and unloading process
• Establish and maintain outstanding relations with patients and internal team members
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle and warehouse, adhering to all FDA protocols
• Work on-call rotation during evening and weekend hours to address any patient medical emergencies in accordance with company and local policies

Education

• High SchoolDiplomaor General Education Degree (GED), Required

Work Experience

• Minimum, one year of experience in professional driving role or equivalent position, Required
• Home care/health care background is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Non CDL drivers can be 18 or older
• CDL drivers are required to be 21 or older
• Must be good with people, with excellent speaking and writing
• Must maintain a valid D/L for appropriate class of vehicle driven while employed
• Convey a positive and professional image to customers and employees
• Read and understand DOT and FDA required paperwork
• Critically think, make decisions, and be mentally alert

• Must lift 50+ pounds by oneself
• Must lift excess of 50lbs with mechanical or employee assistance
