Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Delivery Driver to safely and timely deliver home medical equipment, provide equipment setup, and educate patients on proper use. The role involves following rotation schedules, maintaining a clean vehicle, and adhering to DOT/FDA regulations.

Strong customer service and communication skills are essential. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1 year driving experience, a valid license, and the ability to lift 50+ pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in a professional driving role or equivalent position.
• Non-CDL drivers allowed (18+) and CDL required (21+)
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds unassisted and heavier with assistance
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record required
• Must read and understand DOT and FDA paperwork

Responsibilities

• Follow patient orientation checklists during delivery and training.
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules.
• Maintain a safe driving record and comply with transportation laws.
• Inspect and maintain delivery vehicle and ensure safety during loading/unloading.
• Build positive relationships with patients and internal team members.
• Keep vehicle and warehouse clean and organized in line with FDA protocols.
• Support on-call rotation during evenings and weekends for patient emergencies.

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Follow complete patient orientation checklists during delivery and training
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
• Inspect and maintain company-provided delivery vehicle, ensuring safety during the loading and unloading process
• Establish and maintain outstanding relations with patients and internal team members
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle and warehouse, adhering to all FDA protocols
• Work on-call rotation during evening and weekend hours to address any patient medical emergencies in accordance with company and local policies

Education

• High SchoolDiplomaor General Education Degree (GED), Required

Work Experience

• Minimum, one year of experience in professional driving role or equivalent position, Required
• Home care/health care background is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Non CDL drivers can be 18 or older
• CDL drivers are required to be 21 or older
• Must be good with people, with excellent speaking and writing
• Must maintain a valid D/L for appropriate class of vehicle driven while employed
