Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Delivery Driver to ensure safe and timely delivery of home medical equipment to patients, including setup and patient education on equipment use. The role involves following orientation checklists, maintaining routes, and providing compassionate customer service in a healthcare setting.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED, at least one year of driving experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of professional driving experience, Required.
• Home care/health care background is a plus.
• Must have valid Driver's License and good driving record.
• Non CDL drivers can be 18 or older; CDL drivers must be 21+.

Responsibilities

• Follow patient orientation checklists during delivery and training.
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules.
• Abide by transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Inspect and maintain the delivery vehicle, ensuring safety during loading/unloading.
• Establish and maintain relations with patients and internal team members.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicle and warehouse; comply with FDA protocols.
• Work on-call rotation during evenings and weekends for patient emergencies.

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Follow complete patient orientation checklists during delivery and training
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
• Inspect and maintain company-provided delivery vehicle, ensuring safety during the loading and unloading process
• Establish and maintain outstanding relations with patients and internal team members
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle and warehouse, adhering to all FDA protocols
• Work on-call rotation during evening and weekend hours to address any patient medical emergencies in accordance with company and local policies

Qualifications.

Education

• High SchoolDiplomaor General Education Degree (GED), Required

Work Experience

• Minimum, one year of experience in professional driving role or equivalent position, Required
• Home care/health care background is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Non CDL drivers can be 18 or older
• CDL drivers are required to be 21 or older
• Must be good with people, with excellent speaking and writing
• Must maintain a valid D/L for appropriate class of vehicle driven while employed
• Convey a positive and professional image to customers and employees
• Read and understand DOT and FDA required paperwork
• Critically think, make decisions, and be mentally alert
• Basic computer knowledge
• Must lift 50+ pounds by oneself
• Must lift excess of 50lbs with mechanical or employee assistance
• Maneuver often in restricted spaces
• Perform the following physical actions:
  • straight pulling
  • pulling hand over hand
  • reachingabove the shoulder
  • use of fingers/fine manipulation
  • repeated bending
• Utilize hands, legs, and eyes for operating vehicle
• Lift up to 15lbs above the shoulder while loading and unloading

Licenses and Certifications
