Lincare is seeking a Delivery Driver to safely and timely deliver home medical equipment to patients, set up equipment, and educate patients on proper use. The role emphasizes patient interaction, route discipline, and vehicle safety.

The position requires a minimum of one year of driving experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and a valid driver''s license. On-call evenings and weekends may be required; benefits and training are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of professional driving experience required.
• Home care/healthcare background is a plus.
• Valid driver''s license required.
• Must be able to read and understand DOT/FMCSA paperwork.
• Must lift up to 50+ pounds; able to lift over 50 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Follow patient orientation checklists during delivery and training.
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules.
• Abide by transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Inspect and maintain delivery vehicle, ensuring safety during loading/unloading.
• Establish and maintain strong relations with patients and internal teams.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle and warehouse; follow FDA protocols.
• Work on-call rotation during evenings and weekends as needed.

We are currently seeking a Delivery Driver to join our growing team, ensuring safe and timely delivery of home medical equipment to our patients, also providing equipment setup and educating patients on the proper use of equipment.

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Follow complete patient orientation checklists during delivery and training
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
• Inspect and maintain company-provided delivery vehicle, ensuring safety during the loading and unloading process
• Establish and maintain outstanding relations with patients and internal team members
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle and warehouse, adhering to all FDA protocols
• Work on-call rotation during evening and weekend hours to address any patient medical emergencies in accordance with company and local policies

Qualifications.

Education

• High SchoolDiplomaor General Education Degree (GED), Required

Work Experience

• Minimum, one year of experience in professional driving role or equivalent position, Required
• Home care/health care background is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Non CDL drivers can be 18 or older
• CDL drivers are required to be 21 or older
• Must be good with people, with excellent speaking and writing
• Must maintain a valid D/L for appropriate class of vehicle driven while employed
• Convey a positive and professional image to customers and employees
• Read and understand DOT and FDA required paperwork
• Critically think, make decisions, and be mentally alert
• Basic computer knowledge
• Must lift 50+ pounds by oneself
• Must lift excess of 50lbs with mechanical or employee assistance
• Maneuver often in restricted spaces
• Perform the following physical actions:
  • straight pulling
  • pulling hand over hand
  • reachingabove the shoulder
  • use of fingers/fine manipulation
  • repeated bending
• Utilize hands, legs, and eyes for operating vehicle
• Lift up to 15lbs above the shoulder while loading and unloading
