Job summary

Lincare Holdings provides oxygen and home medical equipment nationwide. The Delivery Driver role ensures safe, timely deliveries, vehicle upkeep, and patient education on equipment use.

Responsibilities include following patient orientation, adhering to routes, and maintaining professionalism while supporting patients and internal teams. Evening/weekend on-call duties may apply for emergency coverage.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in professional driving
• Home care/health care background is a plus
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
• Must lift in excess of 50 lbs with assistance or mechanical aid
• Must be good with people, with excellent speaking and writing
• Read and understand DOT and FDA required paperwork

Responsibilities

• Follow complete patient orientation checklists during delivery and training
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
• Inspect and maintain delivery vehicle, ensuring safety during loading/unloading
• Establish and maintain outstanding relations with patients and internal team members
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle and warehouse, adhering to FDA protocols
• Work on-call rotation during evenings and weekends for patient emergencies

We are currently seeking a Delivery Driver to join our growing team, ensuring safe and timely delivery of home medical equipment to our patients, also providing equipment setup and educating patients on the proper use of equipment.

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Follow complete patient orientation checklists during delivery and training
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
• Inspect and maintain company-provided delivery vehicle, ensuring safety during the loading and unloading process
• Establish and maintain outstanding relations with patients and internal team members
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle and warehouse, adhering to all FDA protocols
• Work on-call rotation during evening and weekend hours to address any patient medical emergencies in accordance with company and local policies

Education

• High SchoolDiplomaor General Education Degree (GED), Required

Work Experience

• Minimum, one year of experience in professional driving role or equivalent position, Required
• Home care/health care background is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Non CDL drivers can be 18 or older
• CDL drivers are required to be 21 or older
• Must be good with people, with excellent speaking and writing
• Must maintain a valid D/L for appropriate class of vehicle driven while employed
• Convey a positive and professional image to customers and employees
• Read and understand DOT and FDA required paperwork
• Critically think, make decisions, and be mentally alert
